This season's drapey loose tops can pose a challenge, jewelry wise. You can't go too short & delicate, or it gets lost. Chunkier colourful bead styles work, but they can be a overwhelming on some frames. Shabby chic never looked so elegant, dings and all! Ice water pitcher, silver-plated copper with base metal mounts. 8" tall, approx 6.5" in diameter, and stamped with the crest of the Seigniory Club of the Château Montebello (the largest log structure in the world).

"The exclusive private retreat of the Seigniory Club took its name from the French land grant system. Are you a fan of the "Keep Calm and Carry On" posters that have snuck their way onto design blogs repeatedly for the last few years? I know I am. There's something about the simplicity and cleanliness of the design that makes me smile, and now you can generate your own! They make fun pops of colour in any room in the house, and, if you pop one into a nice frame, they make a thoughtful (& potentially hilarious) gift.

Evan is a long-time Trover and a very creative individual. He sent me a few photos of his treasure trove finds, and how he's incorporated them into his eclectic living space. I thought I'd share my favourite shot here, and will post more of his photos a little later this week.

The photo above, in Evan's words "shows a small vintage frame with a black and white photo of a man's profile as he sneezes/spits water. I worked it into my console table and propped it up against a funky lamp I got at an estate sale. Next to it is a vintage Mary Quant make-up compact (still in its original box) and a broken but still very neat pocket watch, they were both estate sale finds and I thought what the hell they're too cool to not put out on display!"
