Ah, the ubiquitous Liberty print.  It takes an autumnal turn here in rose reds and creamy whites against a black background.   Add  a long sleeved tee underneath, a wide brown belt and some lace up boots and you are neo-Grunge ready!   The ruffly neckline and cap sleeves are very stretchy - the neckline can easily be pulled down for an off the shoulder look.

****SOLD**** Vintage demi-parure consisting of a pendant necklace with matching clip earrings.

These are from Sarah Coventry's "Crystal Navette" line with textured silver-tone metal concave leaves that have a single sparkling crystal navette rhinestone in the center.

The pendant measures 1 1/2" and comes on a 16" silver-tone metal chain. The matching clip back earrings measure 1 1/8".

All pieces are signed "©SARAH COV" and are in EXCELLENT vintage condition.

A Long Way From Hicksville with Dylan Horrocks

"Hicksville is a collection of short pieces first published as a book in 1998. It was named a "Book of the Year" by the Comics Journal and received nominations for two Ignatz Awards and a Harvey Award. Dylan Horrocks will present a retrospective on his work, examining his relationship with comics through a history of Hicksville . Crochet dress in one corner of re-vamped Trove room.

This vintage 60s crochet mini-dress is surprisingly versatile.  Worn over opaque tights, with brown lace-up booties or brogues, it pairs well with a soft denim shirt (belted) for a casual look.   On its own, with elegant gold heels and a silk flower clipped in your hair, you're ready for date night or a vernissage.   Wear over a long skirt, add a wide contrasting belt, and you've got a lean look that references both boho 70s style and the sleek silhouettes of the 1920s.  The ivory colour is warmed with gold thread throughout and the scalloped hem is too pretty for words.

It's a sheath with a slight A-line skirt, and because it's stretchy it can fit sizes 8-10.

****SOLD*** Our last kitchen really needed a POP of colour, and these red chairs added just the right touch.  Our new kitchen doesn't have an eating area, and we don't need these beauties any more.   Give them a good new home?  Lightweight (aluminum?) and sturdy, with easy to clean cane seating.   The little pale grey foot covers are removable - we put them on to prevent scratching on the hardwood floors.
