The word 'greige' is one of my new favourite portmanteau words. Pun totally intended, given the item up on the Trove block today! There's a lot I could say about this vintage kit bag, but I've limited time (ah, cubicleville) so here are the bullet points:
- colour: greige, leaning towards taupe in certain lights
- dimensions: 22" x 10" x 12"
- closure: rectangular metal frame snaps open like doctor's bag, two stylish
- lining: pale green cotton, with 2 slim pockets on either side, one of the pockets has a tear at the bottom
- distinctive markings: a few tiny scuffs, and some very small breaks in the material covering the frame
- c. 1960s - unmarked
