***SOLD***
1920s graniteware or enamelware bread box, made in Germany. Beautiful Art Deco curved design.
This item is in very good condition, given its age, with some wear to the enamel on the back and around the edges of the lid. All the hardware is nickel, and the latch closes securely. Would be a stunning treasure to add to your kitchen shelves, and makes a nifty silverware chest in a pinch! This would be a remarkable wedding gift for a lover of shabby chic/ vintage housewares.
Dimensions: 18 1/2" long x 9 1/4" deep x 5 3/4" high
Price: $80
Nickel hardware. |
Most wear to the enamel is on the back - the line of air vent holes lets steam from freshly baked bread out! |
Mark on the bottom. |
Interior: very good condition. |
Inspiration - very similar bread bin on the Martha Stewart website:
