Vintage jewelry pieces + simple frame + superglue =...

I swear I'm cursed when it comes to brooches.  The first one S. purchased for me fell off my coat while I was running for a bus, and then I watched in dismay as the bus RAN IT OVER.  The second one I broke, I don't remember how.  The third one was...a necklace.  He learned that necklaces were a safer jewelry option for me.

I'm a sentimental gal, so I kept the pieces of the mashed and broken jewelry.   Yesterday morning I was feeling a little crafty, and a little rummaging in my "future projects box" revealed a small garage-saled frame, a zippy bag with some craft jewelry, and super glue.  I positioned the pieces until they seemed right to me, and then flattened some of the curved jewelry bits to maximize the amount of surface area that would adhere to the picture frame.   A little super glue, and 10 mins later, I had the perfect tiny frame for one of the photos from our wedding:  S., at the head table, giving a toast to the happy brunch horde :)

Great idea, MJ! Good use of bad luck.

Hi gals! Thanks ;) I've quite a bit of broken/craft jewelry to play with - perhaps there'll be more photos very soon!
