*SOLD* This blue metal trunk was purchased at an estate sale and travelled the world, starting in Ireland in the 1940s. According to the kind and informative lady running the sale, it belonged to her father, a navy merchant seaman - a small brass plaque with his name on it is still on the trunk. He once jumped ship in NYC, but his shipmates found him and hauled him back; a short while later he was able to (legally) leave ship in Montreal, which is why 'Montreal' appears under his name on the plaque!
