****SOLD**** Kroehler wood chair: $20

****SOLD**** This Kroehler chair has seen some serious years, and is all the more beautiful for it. Sturdy, comfy (try the butt-dentation, you'll see what I mean!), this chair would make itself both pretty and functional on your balcony as seating or a place to present some plants, in your kitchen for extra seating, or even in the bedroom as an alternative to a bedside table. You can pile your magazines on it, and hang your hat on one of its weathered rungs! It would look lovely with a coat of cheery canary paint, and maybe some stenciling on the seat.
Price: $20

****SOLD**** Trio of swanky liquor bottles with retro typeface: $20

****SOLD****
I'm a notorious lightweight when it comes to my liquor. I'd likely end up filling these beauties with fruit juice or...mouthwash. Save 'em from that fate. Give 'em a home where the offerings to Dionysus are free flowing and wild! (Or, you can simply enjoy the retro fonts.)
Each bottle stands 9.5" tall, 4" wide, 2.5" deep.
Price: $20 for the three

Trove Garage Sale! Stay tuned!

Greetings all!

Wedding prep is taking up more & more of my time (who knew it would be so challenging to keep things cozy & personal?) but the Trove is still going strong! I've got a fair amount of stock that I'd like to clear out as the date draws near, since the room will become our Base of Wedding Prep Ops and is already starting to fill up with ribbon, tulle, mason jars, envelopes, more ribbon, and (thus far) a manageable amount of anxiety :)

To that end, I'll be hosting a Garage Sale in the Trove one Saturday soon, with tops & skirts at $5 each or 3 for $10, dresses at $10 each or 3 for $20, and housewares & jewelry at buy one, get one free!

Keep an eye on the Trove - date TBC!

Hair cuts appointments available for this Sunday afternoon!

The incomparable Miss Julay is available for hair cuts in the Trove this Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 5pm! There are two available slots left - any takers? She has been taking care of my long layers for years and I simply don't trust anyone else with them. I particularly like how well Julay's cuts grow out - I can go 4 months between cuts and the wash & go layered look evolves gorgeously. She's excellent with curly hair as well, as my dear persian fellow can attest!

Let me know if you're interested. Her Trove special price is $25, which is less than half what her salon price is - so seriously, a deal!

****SOLD**** Vintage gold tone bangle-cuff and double-layer link bracelet: $10 for the pair

****SOLD****
If you like the look of an armful of bangles but don't like the clinking sound, then the wide open-ended bracelet above is for you! And the one below it is a little tough, in a lady-like way, and complements the more exotic multi-bangle cuff very well.
Price: only $10 for both!

****SOLD**** Your very own bull in a china shop? 1960s David Sharp studio pottery stylised bull: $20

****SOLD**** This studio pottery bull has been living in my kitchen for the last couple of weeks - specifically on a shelf, surrounded by tea cups my grandmother gave me. It's been making me laugh, but really, I don't have the space for my personal "bull in a china shop" vignette. This is a pottery piece from the 1960s, from the studio of David (DT) Sharp - Rye, England. The layers of glaze form a primitive, almost celtic, pattern on his hunched body.
Price: $20

Up for grabs, a pair of knightly crests! The one above, and its mirror image :) Heavy weight plastic, and standing 17" tall, 10" wide and 2" deep, both have raised lettering on the back that indicate they were made in 1968. They'd add some kitsch fun to your garden, balcony, or den.
Price: $20 for the pair

****SOLD**** Vintage decorative lantern: $10

****SOLD****
This little darlin' kinda looks like a robot's head. A sad battered robot cyclops, searching for its robot body. Is it weird that I find that endearing? Perhaps you do too (or perhaps you have its body!), and you'd like to take it home? Solidly constructed vintage lantern, missing the top light. Marked with a crown, as well as the word 'Crown' on the bottom.
Price: $10

****SOLD****
Break out your poodle skirt and Pink Lady silk bomber, dust off your hand jive and bring a little corner of the soda shoppe to your kitchen or dining room with these three vintage 60s diner chairs! The seats are comfily padded, the backs gently rounded, and the tone on tone green & metal piping is the bee's knees in retro cool! The original delivery tag (1968) is on the bottom of one of the chairs. They're a little scratched and scuffed (on the metal not the fabric) but they've got another 40 years in 'em yet!
Price: $60 for all 3 (there's a 4th chair, with a small tear in the seat fabric, and you can have that one for free if you'd like)

****SOLD**** Handy vignette: vintage palmistry book and porcelain hand! $20

****SOLD****
Cheiro (November 1, 1866 - October 8, 1936) was a famous Irish astrologer and palm reader. "Cheiro had a wide following of famous European and American clients during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He read the palms and told the fortunes of famous celebrities like
Mark Twain, W. T. Stead, Sarah Bernhardt, Mata Hari, Oscar Wilde, Grover Cleveland, Thomas Edison, the Prince of Wales, General Kitchener, William Ewart Gladstone, and Joseph Chamberlain. He documented his sittings with these clients by asking them to sign a guest book he kept for the purpose, in which he encouraged them to comment on their experiences as subjects of his character analyses and predictions." (Wikipedia) He wrote a number of books, including this one (1958 edition). Complete your cheeky occult vignette with a small painted porcelain hand, which is pretty much devoid of palm lines, but has tiny flowers instead. Read that, Cheiro!
Price: $20 for the set

****SOLD**** Pair of gold-tone vintage long necklaces: $20

****SOLD****
Vintage 1970s long (each is 28" full length) & delicately lovely gold-tone necklaces.
Layer 'em together, wear either separately, or wrap 'em around your wrist for a gold bangle effect. They'd look very well with your summer blouses and dresses, and then would transition into fall (over a turtleneck, under a blazer!) with stylish ease.
Price: $15 each or $20 for the pair

.

****SOLD**** Painted wicker & wood mini-vanity: $15

****SOLD****
This shabby chic aqua mirror and tray (like a mini-vanity table top) would serve well atop a desk or dresser. You could place your everyday toiletry and cosmetic items in the tray (perhaps organized in glass mason jars), and then sit comfortably in front of the mirror to ready your face for the day ahead. In my case, the necessities would include shea butter ( hurrah for natural sun screen properties), german chamomile essential oil (miraculous for reddish tones on your face), a comb, a small jar of hair elastics, lip gloss, and my orthodontic kit :)
Stands: 16" tall, 13" wide, and the tray is 5" deep.
Price: $15

.

****sold**** Decorative vintage Swiss pocket watch: $10

****SOLD****
Swiss made Mortima pocket watch, 1 1/2" across. Semi-functional - starts and stops as it pleases, gosh darn it. My sci-fi brainspace likes to think that it tracks time in some parallel world where time is only fitfully & begrudgingly linear. More likely, it's a wonky old thing that could use some TLC. It's yours for only $10, and would make a lovely decorative item as well.

****SOLD**** Green task lamp: $15

****SOLD****
Dark green metal lamp, vintage 70s, stands 19" tall. Would be very nice at your office - home or cubicle - or on your bedside table as a reading lamp. The lamp head can slide downwards, so this also works well as a task lamp.
Price: $15

****SOLD**** Brass apple tea bell: $10

****SOLD****Such a cunning little tchotchke! It's a brass apple, no, it's a bell, no, it's the cutest way to summon guests to the tea table! It is all of the above, and it'll make you grin!
Price: $10

****SOLD**** Pair of gold-tone vintage cuff bracelets: $15

****SOLD****
The ongoing heat wave has had me wearing my lightest summer dresses on a regular rotation. I've been grounding the floaty frocks with a mishmash of eclectic vintage jewelry, layering on light lariat necklaces, and jangling with bangles. These two vintage 70s cuff bracelets can add some shimmer to your summer. They're approx. 3" in diameter, and are 3/4" wide. The top bracelet is a cuff, open at one end and very flexible - it also has a neat South American inspired scene on it. The bottom bracelet is a hinged bangle.
Price: $15 for the pair

****SOLD**** Pair of Toi & Moi vintage mugs by Grés, Korea: $10

****SOLD****
I confess, I prefer to eat pretty much any type of food out of a nice bowl. Think about it, the bowl fits well in one's hands, and the curved sides make it easier to scoop up your food! And I also like to have my hot bevvies in oversized mugs, like these pretties by Grés, made in Korea. One is for 'Toi', the other for 'Moi', and both have the same wildflower print on the opposite side.
Price: $10 for the pair
