****SOLD*** Sterling silver-plated cuff duo! $20 for the pair

Cuffs cuffs CUFFS, I love 'em, CUFFS!   Pretty much anyone can wear 'em & they dress up or down with panache.   This is a more modern duo in terms of style - the top bracelet has an ornamental embossed texture, the lower one has a hammered scale feel.   Both are stamped 925 on the inside, but I believe they are plated and not 100% sterling silver.  They are adjustable between 2.5" and 3" in diameter.
Price: $20 for the pair (or $15 for each if you would like just one)

Felt wreath + a whackload of costume jewelry bits = wedding decor!

S. and I wandered around the 7th floor of the Bay downtown earlier this week - perusing the holiday decorations (70% off the last marked price!) when this little felt wreath caught my eye.   It measures 8" in diameter and is a nice eggshell colour.   At 70% off of $6.99, it was worth bringing home for potential craftiness.   Now, this line of thought has led to my accumulating rather a lot of stuff that sits in a closet filled with what I call "craft supplies" but what I know to be "the physical result of pretty ideas I saw on blogs that led me to buy things impulsively."

Happily, this wreath was saved from the shadowy interior of the Craft Closet!   I eyed the basket weave and thought, that would be a perfect place to place a lot of mismatched & broken, but still lovely costume jewelry bits that I've been hoarding.  No glue gun, no stapling, no sewing, just clipping and pinning about 70 clip-on earrings & brooches into the accommodating weave. It took no more than half an hour and VOILA!  A whole lot of sparkle, on a small wreath, that can stay up year round!

Corkboard tiles + fabric scraps + staple gun = jewelry display in the Trove!

The jewelry section has expanded to include several dozen pieces and I needed a way to display some of the earrings & shorter necklaces.   I found square corkboard tiles at Zellers, wrapped them with leftover fabric scraps (hurrah for staple guns!), and then hammered 'em into the wall.   Voila!  Easy-peasy jewelry display!

****SOLD**** Victorian-style mother of pearl & sterling silver ring, size 9: $20

****SOLD**** Hurrah for S's Iphone camera!  I snapped these pics quick-like on my way out of the Trove this morning and am able to present this very pretty Victorian-style ring to you.  Mother of pearl center in a sterling silver setting and band.  Size 9.
Price: $20

Brain glitch:  Whenever I hear 'mother of pearl' I flash back to a Colgate whitening toothpaste commercial from the mid-90s.  The young teacher asks her kindergarten class what colour her teeth are, and is flustered by the responses ranging from 'beige' and 'ecru' to 'mother of pearl!'   I wonder what that wee kidlet is up to these days.
