****SOLD**** Scaled taupe 80s purse: $10

****SOLD**** Small satchel, school-girl style: $10

****SOLD****
My first school bag was a brown leather affair, with two buckle clasps, and a long thin strap. All the other kids had cheap nylon backpacks with Strawberry Shortcake, Barbie, G.I. Joe or the Transformers on them. I was insanely jealous of them. Silly girl! To this day, the sight of this type of buckle brings me sharply back to riding the school bus, clutching my little leather bag, and being terrified of this one big bully who always rumbled past after getting on at the stop after mine. He'd occasionally snap at other kids with a stapler remover - never actually touching them, but there was always the possibility that today would be The Day. I'd look down at my bag, snap and unsnap the buckles, and only breathe easily once he'd passed to the back of the bus.
*head shake*
All that to say, this is a rather snappy little purse (10"x 8"x 2"), and at only $10, is a steal!

****SOLD**** Godinger Silver Art table-top sweeping set: $15

Once upon a time, people regularly hosted elaborate teas, with a mind-boggling array of fluffy little pastries. And it was all so beautiful. Even the crumbs left on the table were lovely, but alas, they had to be swept away. Perhaps they were swept off the table with a set much like this one, a silver-plated beauty by Godinger Silver Art & Co.
Price: $15

****SOLD**** Floral cotton tunic, L: $10

****SOLD****
Wide scoop neck light cotton floral tunic, with adjustable ties on each side of the waist.
Layers well with a long sleeved tee (with a lace-edged neckline!) for now, and would be oh-so comfy during the (please, soon?!) hot & hazy days of summer.
Size: L
Price: $10
.

****SOLD**** Weekend bag: $15

****SOLD****
One of my favourite things to do in April is a knockout combination of weekend road trip + treasure hunting. Checking into a B&B in Burlington, VT, and then exploring the area's estate and garage sales before heading back for lunch on Church Street before scooting back out again for more troving? Bliss!
Weekend getaways call for weekend bags, and this one is the perfect size for the trip! About the size of an airline carry-on bag, it expands on both sides (unzip - more space!) and the tea-time floral print keeps it sweet :)
Price: $15

****SOLD**** Chicken? Peacock? Soap dish! $5

This bird is mostly chicken to me. Except for the fanned peacock tail. And crazy long feet.

****SOLD**** Vintage 80s studded heels, Saks Fifth Avenue, size 8: $20

****SOLD****
Oh, Saks. Your gleaming shoe department has been the downfall of many a gal in need of a little pick me up. Share the Saks Fifth Ave experience (without the whack to your credit card) in these deceptively sexy 80s pumps. The studs are small, but definitely pack some punch. These would look very well with dark matte tights and a flittery floatery barely-there frock.
Size: 8

Treasure = Spring outfit inspiration

Some of the prices make me grind my molars, and some of the ensembles get whooshed into the "yeah right, maybe if you're 17, 5'9", 115lbs AND live in a city with NO wind" bitter brain category, however I still get a kick out of Lucky Mag's "A Month of Outfits" feature.

It always sets me to digging around in my closet (a smallish but nice space, dwarfed by the IKEA Pax system which currently houses most of the Trove clothing items) and trying out new colour combos and silhouettes. If someone were to grant me 3 wishes, I'd have to quell the violent urge to bellow "show me how to Shop My Closet Like An Editor" in order to say "World Peace. Environmental Equilibrium. An End to Poverty."

A-hem.

I may even share a few of the outfit ideas here with you, dear Trovers, and would love to hear back from you about what new things you're trying out for Spring! Sewing? Planning a balcony garden? Polka dots? Virtual volunteering? A new signature beer? Starting a hobby blog to help pay for orthodontics? *cough*
The first 5 to share their ideas will get $5 Trove credits towards a purchase of $15 or more! :) Get commenting, lovelies!

****SOLD**** 1920s amber glass bottle, with "Raspberry 1929" label: $15

SOLD
"Anne looked on the second shelf of the room pantry but there was no bottle of raspberry cordial there . Search revealed it away back on the top shelf. Anne put it on a tray and set it on the table with a tumbler.

"Now, please help yourself, Diana," she said politely. "I don't believe I'll have any just now. I don't feel as if I wanted any after all those apples."
Diana poured herself out a tumblerful, looked at its bright-red hue admiringly, and then sipped it daintily.
"That's awfully nice raspberry cordial, Anne," she said. "I didn't know raspberry cordial was so nice."
-Anne of Green Gables, L.M. Montgomery
Anne's Aunt Marilla would have kept her raspberry cordial in a bottle like this one. Amber glass, early 1920s, with large 'W' Trademark within a crowned crest on the bottom. Small typed label reads 'Raspberry 1929.'
