Isn't a jean jacket the perfect fall topper? It goes just as well with dotty skirts and floral dresses as it does with trousers (of the non-denim kind), and can make the frothiest chiffon confection seem weekend appropriate. Pop the collar or roll up the sleeves for subtly different statement looks. This one is Levi's, perfectly faded and broken in but with plenty of wear left in it.
