Leather love alert!   Early 80s moto leather jacket in a truly wonderful hunter green.   Assymetric zip, wide lapels to frame your face, and funky square pockets.   It's cut so beautifully, it looks gorgeous left open as well as done up.   The hunter green colour works very well with this season`s pale mauves, taupes and lilacs, as well as edgy classic greys and chalk white.

I like to pop in on The Sartorialist every now and then, and was pleased to see a couple of gorgeous photos of Angelika, in Milan.  She has strong & somewhat curvaceous legs.  They're certainly more shapely than what is commonly seen in the style blogger pantheon.   Scott Schuman described the shape of her legs as "sturdy but beautiful"  which set off a firestorm of  commentary (416 comments as I post this) as to what "curvy" means.  It makes for an interesting read.

A few tips from Salma's style:

• draw attention to your waist, belts do wonders
• don't be afraid to flaunt lush curves - which does not mean Crazy Cleavage, but a nice wide v-neck or portrait neckline works nicely
• single solid colours or outfits in the same tonal family work well for the curvy gal, particularly if she is also petite, height-wise
• trouser jeans are great for balancing out curves of the thighs & calves

Bit of an unusual situation here.  My fellow is a big Sarah McLachlan fan, so his belated bday gift was a pair of tickets to her sold-out show at Théâtre St-Denis tonight, at 7:30pm.     But the NHL schedule was not consulted by little wifey here, and there is a much anticipated Boston-Montreal bloodbath match up tonight.


The tickets (parterre, X34 and X36) were $132,50 total, but I'll gladly let them go for $100 if it means that S. gets to see his beloved Habs.


I can meet at any metro station after 6pm - spread the word!
